The 31st | Claire | Senior Portraits

The midafternoon provides some beautiful options for lighting if you know where to look. Check. Them. Out. Claireshots for everyone!

The 31st | Katie | Senior Portraits

World, meet Katie. She and I shot around the Minneapolis farmer’s market area and found some awesome tomatoes to feature in our images. It just goes to show you if you’re lucky your shoot could include produce painted on walls. No promises, though.

The 29th | Party at the ECC | Family Portraits

Ok, you caught me: I’m not napping. I’m listening to Whitney Houston on Pandora and singing at the top of my range/lungs/brain capacity, like I usually do when Matt’s out on a shoot. One more blog for the day! Whitney’s got me feeling generous! Julie and her sweet sibs got together to bring Matt out [...]

The 29th | Birgen | Senior Portraits

It’s a crisp, cloudy Saturday in the Minneaple. We brunched, Farmers’ Market-ed, and made smoothies with the resulting purchases. My tummy is full and the weather is right: now I must nap for three days. Happy Weekend! Enjoy some summery images of Birgen!

The 26th | Grace | Senior Portraits

Grace and I went for a photowalk down the river on the industrial side of NE and found many giant piles of shipping containers.  We wove in and out of the rows so as to avoid any other human contact, and not have to explain ourselves to any security figures.  We got some awesome images!

The 25th | Ellen | Senior Portraits

The first place that Ellen and I stopped to shoot we saw a speed trap and watched as 2 police cars pulled over about 15 speeders.  Then I forgot on the way back and almost got caught by the speed trap.  Woops. Edited to add: I just realize there are 2 of the same image [...]

The 24th | Rachel | Senior Portraits

Rachel is a really sweet kid.  She’s friends with our good friend Molly, so that should be evidence enough.  This shoot was done almost exclusively in a parking ramp which was a blast and I think the images turned out great.  I hope you agree!

The 21st | Mitch | Senior Portraits

You may remember Mitch’s brother, Tom, from last year’s postcard. You could say that he and his family are quite photogenic. It seemed right to post his images on the same day as Jack’s since they are very good friends. And since his name is Mitch and I love Mitch Hedberg, I leave you with [...]

The 21st | Jack | Senior Portraits

Jack is a great name.  It’s my dad’s name, in fact.  The best thing about this particular Jack is that he’s capable of bench pressing 300 pounds and could probably tear me limb from limb with his bare (bear) hands but I assure you he never would because he’s one of the nicest guys ever.  [...]

The 19th | Morgan | Senior Portraits

Matt says: Images by Katy!!! (He said it with three exclamation points.) Morgan stopped by last week wearing a blue shirt the color of dreams.  I. love. this. color.  Scroll down to image #3. Morgan has great teeth.  I didn’t ask, but I think it means she’s a great flosser.  Young America: Do Not Neglect [...]
